Have you heard of Ibotta? It’s been around for years and has been used by couponers all over! It’s so popular because it lets you scan your receipt after grocery shopping and then gives you cash for buying items they have listed on their app. The products listed are usually well known brands and the offers change often. A lot of the time, the items listed on the app are also on sale in store too! That means cheap and sometimes FREE stuff!
How does it work?
Step 1:
Sign up for an Ibotta account. Make sure you have the app on your phone. The app and account are completely free!
Step 2:
Ibotta provides you will many deals to choose from. Before buying your product, you select the deal that you want to redeem. It will then save it to your account.

Step 3:
Buy the product. Make sure you’re buying it from a store that is listed on the offer. Each product will vary when it comes to what stores it is available at. It is also important to make sure you are buying the correct quantity or size of product. If you buy an item that’s size does not match what is listed in the offer, it most likely will not be approved.
There is no need to buy the items separately. Just add it with your regular grocery shopping, the app will be able to find the products on the receipt!

KEEP YOUR RECEIPT! This is very important!
Step 4:
Click “redeem” at the bottom of the app. Follow the steps provided to scan your receipt. Whenever taking a picture of your receipt, be sure that you are showing the total and the date. It is also important to make sure all words on the receipt are legible. If not, they may not approve it.
If the receipt is too long, just press “add section” to take multiple pictures of the receipt.

Step 5:
Submit your receipt and wait for them to accept the offer. Once it is accepted, it will automatically credit the money to your account!
Step 6:
Once you redeem $20 worth of offers, you may have the money sent to you through Paypal or Venmo. If you don’t have an account with either of those companies, that’s okay! You can also redeem your money for gift cards to various stores!
But wait…. there’s more!
Some offers can be redeemed up to five times. This varies item to item and it will state if it is accepted more than once in the offer’s description.
Sometimes you can find offers for ANY brands.
Every now and then you may find an offer than says “Save $0.25 on any brand milk” or “Save $1.00 on any product in store.” These offers are my favorite because I know they can be used almost every time that I go to the store. Nothing beats saving money on some of your favorite items!
Oh, and there’s bonuses!
Something else that is cool about the app is that it has special “bonuses.” If you buy certain items more than once or you buy multiple items that are all included in the bonus, you will receive the bonus along with the original offers! It sounds a little confusing but here is an example…

Currently, there is an offer for $1.25 cash back when you buy 1 Wether’s Caramel Popcorn (limit 5). There is also a bonus that will give you $0.50 if you redeem the offer twice.
Therefore, if you buy 2 Wether’s Caramel Popcorn, you will receive $3.50 cash back total. $1.25 for each item plus the $0.50 bonus!
You do not have to clip bonuses. Bonuses are automatically applied once you redeem the offers needed in the bonus.
So what are you waiting for? If you don’t have the Ibotta app, you’re losing money! Sign up now and start getting free and cheap stuff!
Can you do his with grocery pick up?
I’m not sure because I’ve never tried it. As long as you are given a receipt you should be able to. I just don’t know what type of receipt you are given whenever you do grocery pick up.
Do you have a referral code you’d like me to use?
My Ibotta referral code is xtryg
What is your referral code I tried entering the “xtryg” and it’s saying it’s an invalid referral code
Weird, that should work!
With the offer for today should there be an offer added to the ibotta cart before shopping?
I don’t think it matters. Just be sure to add it to your account before scanning your receipt. I always add them ASAP in case they disappear.
Ibotta referral code??
xtryg
What should we do if ibotta says there is an error when trying to withdraw earnings to any form?
Is Ibotta the best shopping rewards app to use? There are so many different ones. Do you recommend using all of them (ie Rakutan, Ibotta, Checkout 51) or is there just one or two you’d recommend.
